General Enquiries

The guide below should help you to identify who to contact but if you are unsure then call our friendly Receptionist, Rebecca Walker, on 01509 602156 or email [email protected].  They will be able to help point you in the right direction.

 


Allegations

Allegations are where you have safeguarding concerns about a member of staff.  All allegations must be raised directly with the Head of School, Judith Johnson.  She can be emailed at [email protected] or called on 01509 602156.

If the allegation is regarding the Head of School please contact our the Trustees c/o: [email protected]

Attendance

If you need to let us know that your child is unwell and will not be in school then please call 01509 602156 and select Option 1.  This will let you leave a message for the Pastoral Team and they will update the register for you.

Behaviour concerns

The first point of contact for this should be your child’s Student Manager (sometimes known as a Head of Year) or Director of Post 16:

Cashless Catering

Community and Facilities

We have extensive facilities available to hire and a number of adult and children community classes take place on our campus, any enquiries regarding this should be made through Lesley Russell our Community and Facilities Officer by emailing: [email protected] 

Complaints

We hope you won’t have any! However, we do aim to quickly resolve any complaints that we receive.  We always encourage that you start by making contact directly with the member of staff concerned.  If it is not possible to resolve your complaint directly then we suggest you speak to the Director of the Faculty.  The link here will help you to determine who can help if you need to escalate a complaint.  In the unlikely event that your complaint remains unresolved then we refer you to our complaints policy on our school website.

Go4Schools

We use this system for a variety of purposes in school, if you are having difficulties in accessing it please contact our reception in the first instance by calling 01509 602156.

Exams

Our examinations officers are the best starting point for general enquiries related to examinations for 

Year 11 and Year 13 students.  Our Examinations and Data Manager is Shirley Holder and she can be emailed on [email protected] or you can phone her on 01509 602156.  Our Assistant Examinations and Data Manager is Elaine Bridge who can be emailed on [email protected] 

Medical Needs

If your child has any medical needs that we need to be aware of, or if their medical situation changes please let us know.  Rebecca Elgey is our SENCO is responsible for this.  She can be contacted by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01509 602156.  Our Receptionists have also been trained to deal with medical matters and can assist with any issues you need to raise with us.

Out of Hours

If you have an urgent safeguarding matter that you need to alert us to that directly affects the wellbeing of a child then you can contact us on our emergency line: 01509 649896

All other matters will be dealt with on the next available working day.

Progress

Information regarding your child’s progress is detailed on Go4Schools.  If you have any questions you can contact your child’s tutor in the first instance, the best way to do this is by emailing [email protected] – your message will then be forwarded to the tutor who will respond accordingly.

If the query is regarding progress in a particular subject then you can contact the subject teacher, again this can be done by emailing [email protected] 

Pupil Premium

If your child is entitled to this and you have any queries regarding how it is administered you can contact Sharon Burton  in the first instance by email: [email protected] 

Relationship difficulties (Bullying)

It is most important that we are informed of any concerns about relationships between students or incidents of bullying as soon as possible.  The best person to inform is the appropriate Student Manager or Director of Post 16.

Safeguarding

If you need to speak to someone about a safeguarding related issue then you need to start with our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).  This is Sophie McNally and she can be reached via 01509 602156 or by emailing [email protected]. We also operate a 24 hour emergency safeguarding line and this can be reached on 01509 649896, calls to this number are answered by Sophie McNally.
